1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders placed via this website or via direct payment links for the purchase of the book
“Vernacular Branding – Reading Identity Through Design and Visibility”.

3. Contract Formation
A contract is concluded when the customer completes the payment process via the payment provider, and the payment is successfully confirmed.
4. Products
The product offered is a self-published hardcover book. Product descriptions and images are provided for informational purposes. Minor variations may occur.
5. Prices
All prices are stated in Euro (€) unless otherwise specified.
In accordance with §19 UStG (German small business regulation), no VAT is charged.
Shipping costs are included where explicitly indicated.
For customers outside the European Union, additional customs duties, taxes, or import charges may apply. These are the customer’s responsibility.
6. Payment
Payment is processed via Stripe.
Accepted payment methods include major credit and debit cards, as well as any additional methods offered by Stripe.
The seller does not store payment details.
7. Shipping & Delivery
Orders are shipped from Germany.
Handling time: 2–3 working days
Estimated delivery times:
- Germany: 2–3 working days
- EU countries: 3–7 working days
- UK & Switzerland: 5–10 working days
- Other international destinations (including India): delivery times may vary
Delivery times are estimates and not binding.
8. Transfer of Risk
The risk of accidental loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery of the goods.
9. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
Consumers within the European Union have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which the customer receives the goods.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must inform the seller by email at:

The customer must return the goods within 14 days of notifying the seller.
The customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods.
Refunds will be issued after the returned goods have been received and inspected.
10. Returns – Condition
Returned items must be in their original, unused condition. The seller reserves the right to refuse refunds for damaged or used items.
11. Non-EU Customers
Customers outside the European Union do not have a statutory right of withdrawal unless required by applicable local law.
12. Liability
The seller is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence.
In cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable damages typical for the contract.
Liability for indirect or consequential damages is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
13. Applicable Law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
For consumers, mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence remain unaffected.
