1. Scope

These Terms & Conditions govern purchases made within India through the Vernacular Branding online store, operated by Envisionar Design Atelier. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

2. Sellers

The seller in India is Envisionar Design Atelier, proprietor Bhuleshwar Nemichand Mate, C-7, Neeri Road, Barlinge Layout, Laxminagar, Nagpur 440022, Maharashtra, India. GSTIN: 27AJDPM4435B1ZK.

3. Products

  • The book Vernacular Branding: Reading Identity through Design and Visibility (hardcover);
  • Printed products: A1, A2 and A3 posters, A5 postcards and stickers.

Product images are illustrative; minor variations in colour and finish may occur due to printing and screen differences.

4. Prices & GST

Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) as shown in the store. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is applied as required by law and shown on the tax invoice. Printed books are generally exempt from GST, whereas printed products such as posters, postcards and stickers are generally taxable; the applicable rate is determined by the relevant HSN classification and shown on your invoice.

Note: Exact GST rates and HSN codes for each product should be confirmed with the Seller’s chartered accountant and reflected on the tax invoice.

5. Orders & contract

You place an order by adding products to the cart and completing checkout. The contract is formed when the Seller confirms the order following successful payment. The Seller may decline or cancel an order (with a full refund) in cases of pricing error, stock unavailability or suspected fraud.

6. Payment

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay (Razorpay Software Private Limited). Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully received.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are shipped within India only, through Shiprocket and its courier partners. Estimated dispatch and delivery timelines, and any shipping charges, are shown at checkout. A tracking reference is provided once your order is dispatched. The Seller is not responsible for delays caused by the courier, incorrect addresses or events beyond its control.

8. Returns, refunds & cancellation

Damaged or defective items

If an item arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 7 (seven) days of delivery at contact@vernacularbranding.in with your order number and supporting photographs. Verified claims are eligible for a replacement or refund.

Custom-printed products

Custom-printed products (posters, postcards and stickers) are made to order and are not returnable or refundable except where they arrive damaged or defective.

Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch by contacting us promptly. Once an order has been dispatched it cannot be cancelled.

Refund method

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method through Razorpay within a reasonable period after the return or claim is verified.

9. Intellectual property

All content, including the book, photographs, artwork and designs, is the intellectual property of the authors and rights holders. Purchase of a product does not grant any right to reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit the work.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Seller’s liability arising from any order is limited to the value of that order. The Seller is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Nagpur, Maharashtra shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
